The Auction House can be opened by interacting with an Auctioneer.

Auctions[]

Auctions are the heart and center of the player driven Fallen Earth for the trade of goods. Any item that can be crafted or traded can be found here. Prices are determined by demand. The rarer an object or item is, the more expensive it tends to be. Supplies, vehicles, wepons, and armor can all be bought here. Supplies could be cheaper here than at NPC vendors, but you will be expected to buy in bulk most of the time.

There are two prices on every item. One is an ongoing bid that, at the end of the items time limit, whoever bids the highest gets the item. The "buyout" price allows you to bypass the bidding process and buy the item immediately. Sellers will often opt out of the bidding process by making both prices the same, so the only way to get the item is via buyout. Once a purchase has been made, you will get notified of the purchase and then a mail will be sent to you alongside the item.

Usage[]

You can use the Search Bar directly, or by dragging an item straight into said bar, to search for any item that contains said words. As it is player-driven, it can range from a high-price item to a common one that is cheaper than the local Merchants. You can also make use of the many filters available if one wishes to be more specific with the search.

One can place items for sale at the Auction House as well, for a small fee. The fee depends on how long you want to put it up for auction. Times are: 2 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours, 2 days and 5 days. The Auction House takes the fee as a percentage based on the item's price. If it did not sell, the fee was still owned, but now half of what was paid is mailed back alongside the unsold item.

If an item you posted successfully sells, then you will be mailed the chips the other player gave for your item, but not the fee it took to post it, so take that into consideration when calculating prices.

Notes[]

  • After you buy an item, it will appear in the mailbox. It does not appear immediately, there is typically a small delay of ten minutes or so.
  • The Auction House is global across all sectors. It used to be sectorial or local based (not global) depending on which Auction House you visited, some spanned a large area while others were smaller groups of Auction houses.
  • If one places a Buyout Amount of 0 or less than the Starting Bid when auctioning an item, it can only be bought if someone bids on it and waits the required time.
  • If one wants the item back from the Auction, it has to either wait out the timer on it, or directly buy the item. There is no current way of canceling an auction once posted.
  • If one tries posting an item below the cost that takes to place it, you will be warned about the discrepancy, but will be allowed to continue if one does wish so.
